Distribution Sketchbook example: recording and checking scenarios |
|
Thursday, 28 August 2008 11:38 |
Checking scenario after having recorded it and before using it in the tests suite This first video illustrates how you can record action using the jDiffChaser recording remote control. The user is recording his drawing actions in the Sketchbook application (application provided as an example in the jDiffChaser distribution archive), he decides when it must capture the screen and then he defines some zones he doesn't want to compare (to focus comparisons on its drawing). Once the user has recorded his scenario, he tests it before including it in the test-suite directory, just to be sure it does correct actions. So he launches the test player . This local player plays the chosen scenario, takes the wanted screenshot, filling zones to ignore with a gray pattern, and stores it in the directory given as a parameter in the player command line (see distribution build.xml ant file). |
